To better meet the needs of our guests, we've compiled some of the most commonly asked questions with cooresponding answers. Your comfort during your stay is important to us. If there is something that you don't see listed here, feel free to give us a call and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Q: Do you have a lot of trees? (Shade or Satellite)

Our resort is situated on a prairie and was only built 15 years ago. So yes we have trees that will allow shade but none that are tall enough to block your satellite!

Q: Where are the more private sites?

We would first suggest our VIP sites (110, 111, & 112) if you would need a pull through, or the cul-de-sac of Back-in sites 23-29. We also offer more secluded Back-in sites (280-290) on the North side of the resort.

Q: Do you have a policy for dogs?

We welcome pets but require them to be on a leash at all times, in all areas of the resort, except the dog park.

If you are renting a cabin, it is the responsibility of the guest to request a pet designated cabin. If you occupy a cabin with a pet that is not designated for your furry friends, there will be a $100 fee for cleaning.

Q: Can I put up a tent at my RV site?

We only allow tents to be on tent designated sites. With the park being fully paved, we like to preserve and protect what grass we do have.

Q: Can I ride my ATV in the park?

Absolutely! Just be mindful of the speed limit of 10 mph and little ones in the park.

Q: Can I wash my RV?

Since we are on city water, we require you call in a service. We have company suggestions and cards for you up at the front desk. We do allow you to wash your windshield! 

Q: What time does housekeeping make their rounds?

Starting June 1st housekeepers are on property 8 am-4 pm seven days a week. Elkhorn Ridge Housekeeping is available with the following hour guidelines: All requests before 10am will be fulfilled by 11am. All requests before 1 pm will be fulfilled by 2 pm and any request after 2 pm can be fulfilled by the front desk until 9 pm. Requests can be made by placing the housekeeping sign on the front of your cabin door to signal for service, or you can call 605-722-1800 and leave a message for housekeeping.

Q: Where can I get more towels?

Place your housekeeping sign on the front of your cabin door or stop by the front desk. We do not provide pool towels.

Q: Where can I get extra linens?

Cabins are fully furnished and come with linens. Extra linens can be found in the living room cabinet in each cabin.

Q: What is the process for afterhours check-in?

If you're pulling in with your RV after hours, you can find our late check-in center to the left of the front doors on the porch of the main lodge. There you will find maps and a board with open RV spots that you can choose from for that night. Get settled for the night then stop by the lodge the next morning to pay and make any further arrangements.

Q: When can I buy propane?

For your convenience, propane refills are available by appointment through the front desk. We fill propane Monday through Friday 9:00am – 3:00pm. On Saturdays, we will fill bottles with a 4-gallon minimum at 10:30am. Not at all on Sundays. Call or stop by the front desk for appointments.

Q: What are your pool hours?

The pool is open Memorial through Labor Day and pool hours are 8am-9pm.

Q: Do resort guests get a deal at the Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club?

Yes! Just bring your resort receipt to the golf clubhouse and receive 10% off your green fee.
